News FeedMI Renewable Language Approved for BallotThe Michigan Board of State Canvassers today approved the ballot language to increase Michigan’s renewable energy standard to 25 percent by 2025. Michigan Energy Michigan Jobs is still awaiting a proposal number to be designated by the board. “The ballot language accurately reflects what this proposal is about, and that’s increasing Michigan’s renewable energy standard, reining in energy costs and providing incentives for using Michigan equipment and hiring Michigan workers,” said Mark Fisk, spokesman for the Michigan Energy Michigan Jobs campaign. “Ultimately, this proposal is an opportunity to create Michigan jobs, protect public health and help Michigan catch up with other states that are ahead of us in the clean energy race. Michigan has been sitting on the sidelines for too long and it’s time to get back in the game.”
