on April 22, 2009 PEORIA -- Vectora Transportation, LLC last week opened a new distribution center intended to handle the increasing amount of freight in wind energy components now moving through Illinois. According to a company press release: The facility is served by the Toledo, Peoria, and Western Railway (TPW), enabling access for the site to five Class I railroads (UP, BNSF, CN, CSX, and NS). The Vectora facility offers more than 15 acres of storage space and 5,000 feet of live loading/unloading track, and the adjacent TPW yard can facilitate the termination of both manifest and unit train service at the site. © 2013 Wind on the Wires, All Rights Reserved
